  • Ghost Tours of Alcatraz?

Everyone who comes to San Francisco or visits me on the Haunted Haight™ Walking Tour always asks me about Alcatraz and if there are ghosts on the island. Tourists are fascinated with the ghosts of Alcatraz.  Everyone wants a Ghost Tour of Alcatraz.  This is federal land and they do not like to talk about the ghosts on the island.

I can confirm the island IS very haunted. I have spent the night there with the History Channel and starred in a television program called Mystery Quest. Here is a link to the show if you’d like to learn more about it.

Here are some of the haunted areas to visit THe Ghosts of Alcatraz island.

Mess Hall - People have been tapped on the shoulder.

Cell Block D - Some of the last solitary confinement cells are reportedly haunted.

Times Square: Prison gaurd ghost has been seen.

Barracks: Documented murder of a cadet happened in there.

Hospital:  Probably the most haunted area of the prison.

In 2009, we discovered lots of evidence for the television show. In fact, San Francisco Ghost Society’s™ Vice President Anthony Anderson, was a volunteer docent on Alcatraz for many years. We can say with confidence, we know the ghosts of Alcatraz are REAL.

Sadly, there are no official ghost tours on the island. You can visit the island by going to the National Park Service website and getting tickets on the official ferry.

Do not get tickets to the island from ANYONE but the link on the official site above.

The National Park Service does sometimes offer night tours on Alcatraz island. They sell out very quickly. I would recommend buying them in advance.  Consider coming on the Haunted Haight™ Walking Tour before you take a trip to the island. We would love to share all our insider tips and tell you where all the ghosts are! Happy Hauntings!

  • Quartz and Limestone - Recording Minerals for Hauntings?

Have you ever wondered why some places seem to be more haunted than others? Well, some paranormal researchers believe that the answer lies in the rocks. Specifically, limestone and quartz.

Limestone and quartz are two common types of rocks that are found in many buildings and natural formations. They are also known as recording minerals, meaning that they can store energy and information from their surroundings. Some people think that this energy and information can include the emotions, thoughts, and events of the past, especially if they were intense or traumatic.

According to this theory, limestone and quartz can act like natural tape recorders, capturing the vibrations of the living and the dead. When certain conditions are met, such as changes in temperature, humidity, or electromagnetic fields, these rocks can replay the stored energy and information, creating what we perceive as ghostly phenomena.

This could explain why some locations, such as old castles, churches, caves, and battlefields, are more likely to be haunted than others. They may have a higher concentration of limestone and quartz in their structures or surroundings, making them more prone to record and replay the echoes of history.

Of course, this theory is not widely accepted by mainstream science, and there are many skeptics who doubt the validity of paranormal investigations. However, for those who are interested in exploring the mysteries of the unknown, limestone and quartz may offer a fascinating clue to the nature of hauntings.

  • Hologram or Ghost??

Hello, dear readers! Today I'm going to explain the hologram principle and how it relates to ghosts. Sounds spooky, right? Well, don't worry, it's actually very fascinating and fun to learn about. Let's dive in!

The hologram principle is a concept in physics that says that the information contained in a volume of space can be encoded on a lower-dimensional boundary to the region. In other words, it's like a hologram: a three-dimensional image that is projected from a two-dimensional surface. The idea is that our universe might be like a giant hologram, where everything we see and experience is actually encoded on the edge of the cosmos.

But what does this have to do with ghosts? Well, some paranormal investigators speculate that ghosts might be holographic projections of people who have died, or of events that have happened in the past. The theory is that the information of these people or events is somehow stored on the boundary of our universe, and sometimes leaks into our reality as ghostly apparitions. This would explain why some ghosts seem to repeat the same actions over and over, or why they appear in places that are connected to their lives or deaths.

Of course, this is just theory, but it appears to be promising and shows how the hologram principle can open up new ways of thinking about our world and ourselves. Maybe we are all holograms, living in a holographic universe. Maybe we are more than we think we are. Maybe there is more to life than meets the eye.

What do you think? Do you believe in ghosts? Do you find the hologram principle fascinating or frightening? Let me know in the comments below. And don't forget to subscribe to my blog for more amazing posts like this one. Thanks for reading!
