Go Ghost Hunting This Halloween with Haunted Haight® Walking Tours
Ever watched a ghost hunting show and wondered what it would be like to try the equipment yourself? This October, you can spend an evening exploring Haight-Ashbury with someone who has spent more than 20 years investigating the unexplained.
Tommy Netzband, founder of the San Francisco Ghost Society, leads this two-hour walk through the neighborhood’s haunted history. You may recognize him from appearances on the History Channel or Travel Channel. On the tour, you’ll get to hear about his team’s real investigations, ask questions, and try a little ghost hunting of your own.
The stories Tommy shares come from years of firsthand research, including investigations you won’t hear about on any other tour. Along the way, you’ll have a chance to use custom-built ghost hunting equipment and learn how paranormal investigators approach unusual experiences. What do they look for? How do they consider possible explanations? Bring the questions you’ve always wanted to ask.
And yes, skeptics are always welcome. You don’t need to believe in ghosts to enjoy a fascinating evening exploring the neighborhood.
Tommy is also the author of Haunted Haight®: Ghost and True Crime Tales from Haight-Ashbury and Beyond. If you’ve read the book, the walk offers a chance to visit the places behind the stories, with the author there to tell you more.
There’s plenty of fun mixed in with the spooky moments, including chances to win prizes. Each tour is limited to just 14 guests, keeping the group small enough for everyone to ask questions and get involved.
Your ticket also supports work that continues long after the evening ends. Proceeds help fund paranormal research and free investigations through the San Francisco Ghost Society. You can learn more at SFGhostSociety.org.
